Message of Thiruvalluvar:

“Thirukkural is the life, Thiruvasagam is the heart and Thirumandiram is the soul of Tamil culture”.

“இறைவன் மனிதனுக்கு சொன்னது கீதை, மனிதன் இறைவனுக்கு சொன்னது திருவாசகம், மனிதன் மனிதனுக்கு சொன்னது திருக்குறள்”.

“What God said to man is in Geeta; what man said to God is in Thiruvasagam; and what man said to man is in Thirukkural”.

Thus, Thirukkural was more concerned about the conduct of man in this world. He deals with man’s responsibilities to the society, to his family, to animals, to his subordinates, to his superiors and to his ruler and to God as well.

Our logo is the image of Thiruvalluvar. He is also commonly known as Valluvar and is a celebrated Tamil poet and philosopher. He is best known as the author of the Tirukkuṟaḷ, a collection of couplets on ethics, political and economical matters, and love. The text is considered an exceptional and widely cherished work of the Tamil literature.

Valluvar has influenced a wide range of scholars down the ages since his time across the ethical, social, political, economical, religious, philosophical, and spiritual spheres. He has long been venerated as a great sage and his literary works a classic of Tamil culture.
